A judge in the USA has decided to have the case between Warner Bros and 20th Century Fox about the Watchmen Film heard on January the 6th 2009. 20th Century Fox are suing on the basis that they ahve the rights to make the movie and that Warner Bros have breached this by making their version.

Oh well. I guess where there’s money there are law suits - esp. when the amounts of money the watchmen Movie is likely to generate are considered. 20th Century Fox had spent over $1 million developing the movie before it got shelved.

I went out and bought both of these.The actual stuff on watchmen movie isn’t too bad and some of the pics are pretty cool too.

Just quick update post to say that the official trailer for the new Watchmen film has been released. Apparently it’s showing during the trailers for the new BatMan movie - “The Dark Knight” (which I’m going to see on Saturday).

Nice bust of Rorschach - I’ll be ordering one when I get paid (hope they’re still in stock) reduced from £49.99 to £36.99.

Ozymandias - Watchmen Movie Bust

Ok so Ozymandias does look a little too much like he’s dressed to appear in “Batman and Robin” - could just be that this bust jut isn’t too my taste. Its also available for £39.99.

Dr Manhattan - Watchmen Film figure (1:6 Scale)

The image aint that great I know. But looks like it could be kinda nice thing to have around my house. Will need to go instore to have a look and make a final decision. Even with 17% off it comes in at just under £58 - which seems a bit excessive (no doubt I’ll be seperated from my cash when I get down to the shop).

We’re less than a year away from the release of the much anticipated Watchmen film. Something I’m really looking forward to so I thought it was about time to get some of the cool images that I’ve found online.

cool and moody pic of rorschach . Rorschach, myfavourite character is looking like he could be shaping up well for the movie - in looks anyway.

Well it looks like a winner from Flickr, not some where I normally visit but when you see great grafitti like this maybe I’ll have to stop by more often.

Watchmen Film - Design of Blogs

When I sat and built this thing it was a bit of a whim. I just wanted to see if I could. And now I’ve found that there are so many other sites out there with better looking sites. For this reason I’m going to spend the next couple of days trying to improve the design of this blog - I’m not a designer I hasten to add.

The Watchmen Film related blog taht I really like is Watchmen-the-movie.com - this is cool. To kinda finish my new design - and tart up this site I was hoping thatanyone could help me with the following:

what font is used on the cover of Watchmen? I’ve messed about with a few and none are very good
how do I put youtube movies into my posts?
anyone know any designers who can turn around wordpress templates quickly?

All help on the above would be greatly appreciated.

Watchmen - Movie trailers

I’ve just got this blog live and I was going to leave these clips for a couple of days but I’m thinking that with all the detritus lying around on the web it’s better to get these clips out now.

The first time I even thought of Watchmen the film being a reality was when I was reading a thread online about trailers for the movie ‘300′. The chat was that hidden inside the trailer for 300 was a shot of Rorschach. Places such as Yellow Stereo, Aint it Cool News and Binky the Doormat all had the scoop on their sites/blogs. OK the still was a test shot that Snyder had done - he’s going to be directing Watchmen and also did 300. This is something that kinda scares me - 300 looked great but was pretty rubbish Watchmen is going to require a far more skilled hand at story telling than was the case in 300. Below is the still of Rorschach from the 300 trailer.
